JEFFERSON, Ohio — Early in-person voting in Ashtabula County has entered its final days, with voters able to cast a ballot ahead of the Tuesday, November 3 general election at the Ashtabula County Board of Elections, 8 West Walnut Street in Jefferson. Early in-person voting runs through Sunday, November 1, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s 2026 schedule.

The Secretary of State’s schedule lists Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., as part of the October 28 to 30 block at those hours. Voting continues Saturday, October 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the final early session is Sunday, November 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. No early session is listed for Monday, November 2, so voters who want to vote ahead of Election Day must use a session through Sunday.

Its regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, separate from the extended early voting hours, and it can be reached at 440-576-6915. The board, led by Director Nancy Calaway and Deputy Director Charlie Frye, notes that proof of identification is now required for all voters, and provides sample ballots, a polling-place lookup, and the official candidate and issues lists.

For absentee voters, one deadline has passed and another is approaching. The Secretary of State’s schedule states that absentee ballot applications had to be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. on October 27. Completed non-UOCAVA absentee ballots must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, to be counted, while UOCAVA — military and overseas — ballots must be received by mail by November 7.
