Adams County voters have entered the final week of early in-person voting for the Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026 general election, with all early ballots cast at the Adams County Board of Elections in West Union. According to the Ohio Secretary of State, the Adams County early voting location is the board office at 923 Sunrise Ave., Room 101, in West Union, and the Adams County Board of Elections lists the same address, a secure election drop box outside the building, and a phone number of (937) 544-2633 for voter questions.
The final-week schedule is set statewide by the Ohio Secretary of State. Early voting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, Thursday, Oct. 29, and Friday, Oct. 30, according to the Secretary of State’s 2026 voting schedule. Weekend hours follow, with voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, and the final early in-person session from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1. There is no early in-person voting on Monday, Nov. 2, the day before Election Day.
For voters who requested a ballot by mail, one key deadline has already passed and another is still ahead. The Ohio Secretary of State lists Oct. 27 at 8:30 p.m. as the deadline for absentee ballot applications to be received by a county board of elections. Completed non-military absentee ballots must be received by the Adams County Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, to be counted, according to the Secretary of State, and the Adams County Board of Elections notes that its outside drop box is available for absentee applications and ballots. Military and overseas ballots returned by mail must be received by Nov. 7, according to the Secretary of State.
What Adams County voters will decide on Nov. 3 varies in part by precinct. The ballot for the general election includes Ohio’s statewide races and statewide Issue 3, along with county offices, and township, village, school, and local levy and issue questions that differ by where a voter lives. The Ohio Secretary of State directs voters to check their registration, preview their specific sample ballot, and confirm their Election Day polling place through the Secretary of State’s voter tools at VoteOhio.gov and through the Adams County Board of Elections before heading out to vote.
The Adams County Board of Elections has not published a county early-voting turnout total for this update, and no turnout figure is being reported here. Turnout figures have not been released by the board. Voters who want the most current local information can contact the board directly at its West Union office during the posted early voting hours.
Voters who do not cast an early or mail ballot will vote at their assigned precinct polling place on Election Day. According to the Ohio Secretary of State, polls across Ohio are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Early voting is held only at the board of elections office in West Union, not at a voter’s precinct polling place, which opens only on Election Day.
With only a few early sessions remaining, Adams County voters who prefer to vote ahead of Election Day have until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, to do so in person in West Union. After that, the remaining options are returning a mail ballot to the board by 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 or voting in person at an assigned polling place during Election Day hours.
