The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced on Tuesday, October 27, that Jerome Rouquet will join the Akron tire maker as chief financial officer effective December 1, 2026, succeeding an interim finance chief as the company works through its long-term transformation plan.
Rouquet comes to Goodyear from Visteon Corporation, where he serves as chief financial officer and leads the auto supplier’s global financial activities, Goodyear said in its announcement, distributed by PR Newswire. He joined Visteon in 2020 after senior finance leadership roles at Tenneco and Federal-Mogul, including serving as Federal-Mogul’s chief financial officer, chief accounting officer and controller.
"This is an important addition to our leadership team," Goodyear Chief Executive Officer Mark Stewart said in the company’s announcement. "Jerome combines deep financial expertise with a proven ability to help organizations improve performance and navigate transformation. As we continue building momentum and executing our long-term strategy, his leadership and experience will help position Goodyear for success."
Rouquet will report to Stewart and serve on Goodyear’s senior leadership team, the company said. His background spans financial strategy, operational performance, investor relations and public-company finance — the areas Goodyear said the appointment is meant to strengthen as it pursues operational improvement, financial discipline and prudent capital allocation.
Rouquet holds a Master of Business and Management from Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris and completed the International Business Management Program at the Manhattan Institute of Management in New York, according to Goodyear’s announcement.
Scott Deakin, who has served as interim chief financial officer, will continue in the role until Rouquet arrives on December 1 and will support the leadership transition, the company said.
Goodyear, founded and headquartered in Akron, is one of Summit County’s signature employers and one of the world’s largest tire makers. Its finance chief change lands as the company continues executing the multi-year turnaround strategy it has described to investors.
