Early in-person voting for the November 3 general election enters its final week in Columbiana County, with voters casting ballots at the Columbiana County Board of Elections, 7989 Dickey Drive, Suite 3, in Lisbon, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s early voting locations list.

Statewide early voting hours lengthen in the final week. The board is open Monday, October 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Wednesday through Friday, October 28 to 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The final weekend offers voting Saturday, October 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There is no early in-person voting on Monday, November 2.

Tuesday, October 27 is also a hard deadline for mail voters: absentee ballot applications must be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. that evening. Completed absentee ballots must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted, so voters holding a ballot close to the deadline are encouraged to return it in person rather than rely on the mail.

Columbiana County voters are deciding local races and issues alongside the statewide ballot. The county’s first-pass ballot included East Palestine levies, a Salem parks renewal and legislative races, and every ballot in Ohio this fall also carries the statewide contests for governor, attorney general, auditor, secretary of state, treasurer, the Ohio Supreme Court seats and U.S. Senator, as well as statewide Issue 3.

Voters should bring an accepted form of photo identification for in-person voting. Sample ballots for each precinct are available through the Secretary of State’s voter tools and at the board office, and checking a sample ballot before arriving can speed up the process during the busiest final-week sessions.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, when polling places across Columbiana County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for voters who prefer to cast their ballot in their home precinct.

Board staff remind voters that lines are typically longest on the final weekend and on Election Day morning. Voting during the extended weekday evening hours this week is often the fastest option for Columbiana County residents who want to bank their vote early.
