The Columbus Crew close the home portion of their regular-season schedule on Saturday, October 24, when Toronto FC visits ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in Columbus for a match the club is celebrating as Throwback Night, presented by Nature Made.

Throwback Night celebrates the storied history of Major League Soccer’s first club, according to the Crew’s official theme-night announcement. Specialty ticket packages for the match include a throwback Crew metal lunchbox, a nod to the club’s early seasons and the supporters who have followed the Black & Gold since the league’s first year.

The Toronto match is the Crew’s final home date before the regular-season finale, which is also at home. Columbus hosts D.C. United on Saturday, October 31, in what the club has designated Fan Appreciation Night, with fan tributes and giveaways planned to close out the home slate.

Saturday’s double duty in Columbus sports also includes a Columbus Blue Jackets home game that evening at Nationwide Arena, making the Arena District and the north downtown area the center of the city’s sports weekend, with soccer in the afternoon and hockey at night.

For Crew supporters, Throwback Night is a chance to mark the club’s place in league history before the postseason picture is settled. The Crew were MLS’s first club, and the theme night leans on that heritage with retro touches throughout the matchday presentation at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field.

Fans planning to attend were directed by the club to its official ticketing channels for single-match tickets and the Throwback Night specialty package, which is the only way to receive the commemorative metal lunchbox tied to the promotion.

After Toronto, the Crew’s focus turns to the October 31 finale against D.C. United and then to the postseason, with Saturday’s home crowd getting one of the last looks at the team in Columbus this regular season.

The match also falls on a busy final stretch of the Columbus sports calendar, with the Crew, the Blue Jackets and Ohio State football all drawing home crowds in October, and supporters groups planning a full matchday around the throwback theme in and around the stadium.
