Tuscarawas County voters can cast an early in-person ballot on Saturday, October 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections in New Philadelphia. The board office is located at 933 E. High Ave., and voters with questions can reach the office by phone at 330-343-8819. The Saturday hours are part of the statewide early voting schedule for the November 3, 2026 general election.

Early voting gives registered voters another option beyond voting at their polling place on Election Day or returning an absentee ballot. Saturday hours can be especially useful for residents whose work or family schedules make weekday voting difficult. Early in-person voting is conducted at the board office in New Philadelphia during the posted hours.

The schedule expands in the week ahead. On Monday, October 26, early voting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, October 27, the hours are 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., the longest day in this stretch. From Wednesday, October 28, through Friday, October 30, the board office will be open for early voting from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day, giving voters several weekday choices before the final weekend.

Tuesday, October 27, also carries an important deadline for voters who want to vote absentee by mail. Absentee ballot applications must be received by that date. Voters who have already requested or received an absentee ballot should keep the return deadline in mind as well: absentee ballots must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, to be counted under the schedule provided by election officials.

The final weekend of early voting offers two more opportunities. On Saturday, October 31, early voting runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., matching the hours for Saturday, October 24. On Sunday, November 1, voters can cast an early ballot from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. After that weekend, the next opportunity is Election Day itself, when polls across Ohio will be open on Tuesday, November 3, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

There is a full set of local questions on ballots across Tuscarawas County this fall. The Times-Reporter reports that 23 levies are on ballots across the county, shaping funding for parks, police, roads and schools. Those decisions will affect services in communities throughout the county, making the local portion of the ballot significant even for voters whose main focus may be the broader general election contests.

Among the specific measures voters may encounter are fire district renewal levies, including the Arrowhead Joint Fire District 4-mill renewal and the Goshen Township Fire District 2.15-mill renewal. Some voters will also see local Sunday-sales options in Uhrichsville, Bolivar and Dennison, which apply only in those communities. Because ballots differ by place of residence, voters are encouraged to review what applies where they live before heading to the board office or to the polls on November 3.
