The Ross County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at the Ross County Courthouse, 2 North Paint St., Suite H, in Chillicothe, with the county Land Bank and the local re-entry coalition both on the published agenda.

The board convenes at 9 a.m. for commissioners and county administrator business, according to the agenda released by the board. The morning’s first scheduled presentation, at 9:30 a.m., is Bandy Morris-Hafner appearing for the Re-Entry Coalition, the group that works with residents returning to the community after incarceration.

At 10 a.m. the board takes up the Land Bank, the county land reutilization body that acquires, holds and returns tax-delinquent and vacant properties to productive use — a standing tool in Chillicothe and Ross County’s fight against blight and abandoned housing.

The agenda also lists an 11 a.m. item for Pickaway Ross CRA, held off site, before the board recesses from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The afternoon session resumes with the Investment Advisory Board at 1 p.m., which oversees how the county’s public funds are invested, followed by a recess at 1:30 p.m.

The board is made up of President Jack A. Everson, Vice President James E. Lowe and Commissioner David Glass. Together the three commissioners set the county budget, oversee county departments outside the other elected offices, and act on contracts, property and infrastructure for unincorporated Ross County.

Monday’s mix — re-entry services, land bank property work and investment oversight in a single session — is a typical cross-section of county government: the unglamorous machinery that decides how vacant lots, returning residents and public dollars are handled in Ross County week to week.

All presentations to the board must be on the agenda in advance. Residents who want to be added to a future agenda can contact the Commissioners Clerk at 740-702-3085.
