LOGAN, Ohio — Early in-person voting for the November 3, 2026 general election continues this week in Hocking County, with the Hocking County Board of Elections office in Logan open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday through Friday, October 23. Voters can cast an early ballot at the board office, 93 W. Hunter Street in Logan, during those hours without waiting for Election Day.
The 8-to-5 schedule has been in place since early voting opened. The board listed the same hours for October 6 through 9 and again for October 12 through 16, giving voters three full weeks of weekday voting at the Logan office before the schedule expands. Early voting also continues this Saturday, October 24, when the office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hours get longer in the final week before the election. On Monday, October 26, the office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Voting runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Wednesday, October 28 through Friday, October 30, then from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 31 and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 1.
There will be no early in-person voting on Monday, November 2. Voters who have not cast a ballot by the end of the day on Sunday, November 1 will vote on Election Day itself, Tuesday, November 3, when polls across Hocking County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at each voter’s assigned polling place. Voters should bring an accepted photo ID, such as an Ohio driver’s license or state ID, a U.S. passport, or a military ID, as listed by the Ohio Secretary of State.
Voters who prefer to vote by mail face two deadlines under the statewide rules set by the Secretary of State. Absentee ballot applications must be received by the board by 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, and voted non-UOCAVA absentee ballots must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. The deadline to register to vote in this election was October 5.
Outside the early-voting schedule, the board office keeps regular hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office can be reached by phone at (740) 380-8683, by fax at (740) 380-3712, and by email at [email protected], and its mailing address is P.O. Box 109, Logan, OH 43138. The board is led by Director Lisa Schwartze and Deputy Director Vickie Norris.
The board of elections meets on the second Monday of each month at 9 a.m. For Hocking County voters, the next step is simple: pick a time from the schedule above, bring an accepted photo ID, and head to the Hunter Street office this week while the 8-to-5 hours are in effect, or plan ahead for the longer hours and weekend voting in the final week before November 3.
