Harrison County voters can cast an early in-person ballot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. this week at the Harrison County Board of Elections office in Cadiz, as early voting continues ahead of the November 3, 2026 general election. The board is located at 538 N. Main St., Suite B, in the Government Center in Cadiz, according to the Ohio Secretary of State’s early voting locations directory, and the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours apply Monday through Friday, October 19 through October 23, under the Secretary of State’s statewide voting schedule.

Early in-person voting began October 6 and runs through Sunday, November 1. After this week, voters will also have a Saturday option October 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by longer final-week hours: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. October 26 and October 28 through 30, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. October 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 31, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. November 1.

The November 3 ballot is a general election ballot, and what each Harrison County voter sees will depend on the precinct where the voter lives. The board of elections posts sample ballots for Harrison County precincts, and the Secretary of State provides a ballot display for the county, so voters can review the candidates and issues for their own precinct before they arrive — including county offices, judgeships, and local levies and issues that appear only in certain townships, villages, or school districts.

Reviewing a sample ballot ahead of time is especially useful in a general election, when a single ballot can combine statewide races with county and local contests. Voters unsure which ballot style applies to them can check the listings through the board or the Secretary of State’s lookup tools before they arrive.

Voters who prefer to vote by mail have deadlines approaching as well. Absentee voting by mail also began on October 6, the Secretary of State’s schedule shows, and absentee ballot applications must be received by the board of elections by 8:30 p.m. on October 27. For most voters, a completed absentee ballot must be received by the board by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, while military and overseas ballots sent by mail must be received by November 7.

The board lists its regular office hours as Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and its telephone number as 740-942-8866 in the Secretary of State’s county boards directory. Its own site lists the same address and phone number and provides registration and absentee application forms and sample ballot links.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, polls across Ohio will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters who have not voted early or by mail will vote at their assigned polling place. Harrison County residents can vote early in Cadiz this week, use a Saturday or final-week session, return an absentee ballot by the deadlines above, or wait for Election Day.
