Greene County voters can cast an early in-person ballot this week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greene County Board of Elections office at 551 Ledbetter Road in Xenia. The hours run Monday through Friday, October 19 through October 23, as part of Ohio’s statewide early voting schedule that began on October 6.
The Ledbetter Road office is the county’s early voting location for the November 3 general election. Voters from across Greene County, including Xenia, Fairborn, Beavercreek, Bellbrook, and Yellow Springs, can vote there during the posted hours without waiting until Election Day. The board can be reached at 937-562-6170 for questions about voting.
The Greene County Board of Elections is led by board members Wendy Dyer, who serves as chair, along with Janis Basham, Anita Swan, and Denise Moore. The board oversees elections throughout Greene County, handling poll worker recruitment and training, ballot preparation, voter registration, and the reporting of election statistics.
Hours expand after this week. Early voting continues Saturday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The following week brings longer days, with voting on Monday, October 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, October 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Absentee ballot applications must be received by 8:30 p.m. on October 27.
Voting then runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on October 28, 29, and 30, followed by 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 1. Those are the final early voting opportunities before Election Day. No early in-person voting is scheduled for Monday, November 2.
The early voting option serves residents in all of the county’s communities, including Centerville and Huber Heights in part, as well as Jamestown, Cedarville, Bowersville, Clifton, and Spring Valley. Voting early can help residents avoid longer lines on Election Day and provides flexibility for work, school, and family schedules.
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, polls in Greene County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Absentee ballots must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. Voters who still need information about registration, ballots, or polling locations should contact the Board of Elections at the Ledbetter Road office ahead of the deadlines.
