COLUMBUS — Northwest Bank has opened its second Columbus financial center, a new branch at 2006 North High Street steps from Ohio State University’s campus, the bank announced Oct. 9.
The North High location continues the bank’s Central Ohio expansion. A New Albany financial center opened earlier, with Columbus and Gahanna branches planned later this year, a Westerville branch set for early 2027, and the bank’s Central Ohio headquarters slated to move to Dublin in 2029.
Bank officials say the North High center was designed with direct input from the surrounding community, including Ohio State students surveyed during planning. The space doubles as a neighborhood hub, with a study room, free Wi-Fi, device charging, flexible tables, and coffee from local nonprofit partner Roosevelt Coffee Roasters.
“We designed this financial center with the surrounding community in mind, including OSU students preparing for their futures,” said Urich Bowers, the bank’s chief consumer banking and strategy officer. “It’s a place where people feel welcome, comfortable, and empowered to reach their financial goals.”
The Columbus-headquartered bank also pointed to its local talent pipeline: 13 Ohio State students, several from the Fisher College of Business, completed its paid summer internship this year.
