TIFFIN — More than 600 manufacturing jobs across Northwest Ohio will continue under new ownership after automotive supplier JVIS announced it has acquired the Toledo Molding & Die operations in Tiffin and Bowling Green.
The acquisition runs through JVIS affiliate TNJ Ohio LLC, operating as JVIS Ohio, and marks the company’s first manufacturing operations in Ohio. Toledo Molding & Die has long been a major employer in the region, serving as a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier of interior and air/fluid management systems for major automakers, including interior components, air induction, powertrain cooling, front-end modules and HVAC systems.
JVIS said the deal expands its capabilities across automotive interior systems, engineered plastics, molding and assembly operations supporting major original-equipment production programs.
David Robinson, JVIS vice president of external affairs, said TMD brings experienced employees, strong customer relationships and manufacturing capabilities that align with the company’s long-term strategy, adding that the company is excited to build on that foundation.
The Regional Growth Partnership worked with JVIS alongside the Seneca County Collaborative and Bowling Green Economic Development to facilitate the deal, and JVIS is also working with those entities and JobsOhio on incentives to secure a long-term commitment to the area. Any approved incentives will be made public once agreements are approved and executed.
